New! Summer Eclipse

Create energy, warmth and beauty in your garden with hot orange and yellow blooms. The staff at Squak Mt is pleased to introduce you to a new perennial Heliopsis ‘Summer Eclipse‘. Also known as false sunflowers, these rugged and easy to grow plants love sun and heat, and feature blooms in the classic sunflower shape.

‘Summer Eclipse’ has bicolor orange and yellow petals radiating from a darker center. These hot colored blooms are set above deep toned foliage that is nearly burgundy, producing an eye catching contrast.

This compact variety grows only 24-30” tall and wide making it a perfect addition to containers or the garden. Soil that drains well allows all heliopsis varieties to thrive. ‘Summer Eclipse’ blooms from summer into early fall and then will return again next year after it’s winter dormancy. Pollinators are frequent visitors to heliopsis and deer seldom bother it. If you allow the spent blooms to stand into winter the birds will enjoy their seeds as a food source as well.

Come meet ‘Summer Eclipse’ today in the perennial courtyard at Squak Mt., and celebrate the heat and energy of late summer blooms in your garden.
