Polka Dot Begonia

Deep green leaves with silvery spots dotted like stars, the Begonia Maculata, or Polka Dot Begonia, is a stunning addition to your indoor plant collection. Worthy of its own red-carpet, the Polka Dot’s angular and graceful leaves have lightly ruffled edges. And don’t forget to peek at the underside of the leaves– you’ll find a sheen of burgundy, making this plant turn heads from every angle.

While it sounds like a fashionista, with the expert display of polka dots, color, and frills, this plant is no diva. Well suited for average household conditions, the begonia maculata prefers bright yet indirect light. It will tell you if it needs more by reaching out towards the light. Rotate your begonia periodically to keep growth even. For water, give the soil a nice deep drink when the top 1” has dried out.
