This spring at Squak Mt we will be offering the second rose in a series named for some of the beloved characters on the show.
This year’s introduction ‘Pretty Lady Rose’, is named for the vibrant, caring, elegant, and slightly head strong great niece of the Dowager Countess of Grantham. ‘Pretty Lady’s’ dark pink ruffled blooms are reminiscent of the flapper dresses that Lady Rose loves to wear. Her old fashioned blooms give off a fragrance redolent of peony with an edge of spice. Capping off this splendid garden addition is the glossy green foliage.
A compact, medium upright grower, ‘Pretty Lady Rose’ would work beautifully in a patio container or as a border in a landscape planting.
