Shallots and garlic are best planted in the fall. The bulbs of these aromatics will begin to set down roots, before going into hibernation for the winter months. Resuming growth in the spring, shallots and garlic can be harvested in July. Garlic and shallot bulbs will be available for purchase at Squak Mt. in late September or early October depending on the weather at the farm.
